Financial Wellness at Work
The United Way of Summit and Medina County’s Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) has introduced a program for organizations, including the City of Akron, to provide employees with no cost professional financial counseling at their workplace.
City employees can schedule individual appointments with a financial counselor during on-site sessions at city work locations, virtually, over the phone, or at the Financial Empowerment Center. The services offered include credit repair, debt consolidation, budgeting, credit improvement, holiday and vacation savings plans, refinancing options, and more!
Additionally, the Employee Small Dollar Loan Program is available to qualifying participants through the banking partners of the Akron Financial Empowerment Center (FEC).
