The City of Akron is pleased to provide a robust benefits package for all permanent full-time active employees who have met the eligibility period requirements.
Benefits are effective the 1st day of the month following your date of hire and you must enroll in these benefits within 31 days of the benefits effective date, unless you are an elected or appointed official. Benefits are effective on the first day of the term of office for elected officials and the first day of employment for appointed officials.
